Rewards Policy

1. Purpose of This Policy

This Rewards Policy governs how users earn, track, redeem, and manage cashback points, missions, and other reward-related features within the Shoppoint platform. By using Shoppoint, you agree to be bound by this policy alongside our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

2. How Rewards Work

Shoppoint allows users to earn rewards by engaging with the platform in meaningful and verifiable ways that reflect real-world spending and participation. You can earn points by uploading or snapping valid purchase receipts, completing shopping missions, participating in in-app games or interactive experiences, engaging with promotional content, and referring others to join the platform. Missions and games are designed to reward regular activity and offer bonus opportunities to users who complete specific tasks or challenges.

Each activity has its own eligibility rules, participation limits, and reward structure, which are clearly outlined within the app. Not all actions are guaranteed to result in points, and all rewards are subject to system verification to ensure fairness and prevent misuse. The value of points earned through games or missions may vary depending on timing, campaign configuration, or user behavior. Shoppoint reserves the right to modify or suspend missions and in-app games at any time, and all rewards earned must align with platform integrity and compliance standards.

3. Eligibility and Receipt Validation

To earn rewards on Shoppoint, the receipts you submit must be real, readable, and valid. This means the receipt must be genuine not altered or fake and clearly show the items you bought, the store name, the total amount, and the date and time of the purchase. It also needs to be within the acceptable submission period, which is usually a few days from the date of purchase as specified in the app. If you upload the same receipt more than once, or submit a receipt that has already been used or doesn’t belong to you, it won’t qualify for rewards. We take fraud prevention seriously — if we detect repeated abuse, we may suspend or permanently block your account from receiving rewards. Only fair play earns points on Shoppoint.

4. Reward Points and Value

Points you earn on Shoppoint don’t have a fixed cash value unless we clearly say so during a specific redemption offer. In other words, points help you save and redeem, but they aren’t cash and can’t be withdrawn like money in a bank. Depending on how you choose to redeem whether it’s airtime, electricity, in-app deals, or third-party vouchers the value of points may differ. We also reserve the right to change how many points you can earn or what they’re worth at any time. Your points belong to you for use within the app, but they can’t be sold, transferred to someone else, or exchanged for real cash.

5. Point Expiry and Account Activity

To keep your rewards alive, you need to stay active. If you don’t use your account or engage with the platform for 12 months straight, your points may expire. We’re not required to notify you before this happens, so it’s up to you to check in regularly. Also, if your account is deleted, suspended, or left unused for a long period, any unredeemed points or pending rewards may be permanently lost. Shoppoint is a living, breathing rewards engine and it only works for those who stay connected.

6. Missions, Promotions, and Bonus Offers

From time to time, we’ll run special missions, brand promotions, or limited-time campaigns where you can earn bonus points or unlock exclusive rewards. Each mission or promo comes with its own rules such as how to qualify, how long it runs, and how many times you can participate. These offers are completely optional but are a great way to earn more. We may change, pause, or end any of these promotions at any time so be sure to check the app for current offers and deadlines.

7. Errors, Fraud, and Abuse

We have zero tolerance for cheating. If you earn points because of a system error, submit fake receipts, use multiple accounts dishonestly, or try to game the system, we reserve the right to take those points back. Repeated abuse may lead to your account being suspended or permanently banned from receiving any future rewards. If necessary, we may also pursue legal action to protect our platform and community. In short: play fair, and you’ll keep winning.

8. Redemption Rules

You can redeem your points using the available options in the app like topping up airtime, paying electricity or cable bills, unlocking discounts, or accessing vouchers and product deals. Once you confirm a redemption, it’s considered final and can’t be reversed. Some redemptions might take a little time to process, especially when they involve third-party partners. While we do our best to make sure things run smoothly, we’re not responsible for delays or technical issues caused by external providers.

9. Platform Rights and Modifications

Shoppoint reserves full control over the rewards program. This means we can change how points work, adjust the value of rewards, add or remove features, or even pause or end the program entirely if needed  all at our sole discretion. We may also restrict specific users from accessing certain rewards if there’s a valid reason to do so, such as suspected abuse or violation of the rules. We’re always working to protect the platform’s fairness and sustainability for everyone.
