1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, using, registering for, or participating in any way on the Shoppoint Apps, website, or related services (collectively, the “Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”), our Privacy Policy, our Rewards Policy, and any other supplemental terms, rules, guidelines, or conditions made available or referenced on the Platform from time to time (together, the “Agreement”).
For the avoidance of doubt, this Agreement forms a legally binding contract between you (the user) and Shoppoint Technologies Limited, governing your access to and use of the Platform and all features offered, including but not limited to cashback rewards, receipt scanning, price check tools, missions, advertising content, merchant tools, and all related services or content.
If you do not agree to all the terms and policies outlined in this Agreement, you must not use or continue to use the Platform. Continued use of the Platform signifies your ongoing acceptance of the most current version of these Terms and all referenced policies.
2. Who Can Use Shoppoint App
To use Shoppoint, you must be at least 13 years old, or the legal age of digital consent in your country, and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. By registering an account, you confirm that all information you provide is true, accurate, and complete.
3. Account and User Responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree not to share your login details or misuse your access in any way that could harm the platform or violate these Terms. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that are suspected of fraudulent activity, abuse, or violation of our terms or policies with or without prior notice.
4. How Shoppoint Works
Shoppoint allows you to earn rewards by uploading or snapping purchase receipts, engaging with offers, participating in missions, and viewing personalized content. All activities are subject to verification and system eligibility rules. Rewards have no cash value unless explicitly stated and may be subject to limits, expiration, or adjustment. We reserve the right to reject any receipt or activity that appears fraudulent, tampered with, or ineligible under our reward policies.
5. Use of the Platform
You agree to use the Shoppoint platform solely for lawful, personal, and non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. You may not misuse, exploit, or interfere with the normal operation of the platform in any way. This includes, but is not limited to, uploading fake, manipulated, or unrelated receipts; using automation, bots, or unauthorized tools to interact with the app; attempting to reverse-engineer or hack any part of the platform; impersonating other users; or knowingly submitting false information to gain unfair rewards.
You are also prohibited from using Shoppoint to violate any applicable laws, infringe on the rights of others, disrupt the experience of other users, or interfere with our systems, services, or partners. Any activity that undermines the integrity of the rewards system or compromises the security of the platform may result in the immediate suspension or termination of your account, as well as legal action where applicable.
We reserve the right to monitor usage, investigate suspicious behavior, and take any appropriate action to enforce these Terms, protect our users, and maintain the integrity of the Shoppoint ecosystem.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on the Shoppoint platform including trademarks, logos, software, designs, and proprietary features belongs to Shoppoint Technologies Limited or its licensors. You may not copy, distribute, or reuse any part of the platform without our prior written permission.
Shoppoint Rewards may display, reference, or link to content, logos, trademarks, brand names, or other intellectual property belonging to third-party merchants, advertisers, manufacturers, or partners ("Third-Party IP"). All such IP is the property of its respective owners and is used on the platform either with permission, under fair use, or in a nominative descriptive context for the purpose of enabling rewards, product discovery, or pricing transparency.
Shoppoint does not claim ownership over any Third-Party IP unless explicitly stated. The appearance of such content does not imply any formal endorsement, affiliation, or sponsorship unless otherwise disclosed. If you are a rights holder and believe your IP is being used improperly on the platform, please contact us at legal@getshoppoint.com and we will promptly investigate and address the issue in line with applicable laws and platform policy.
7. Data and Privacy
Your use of the platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which outlines how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using Shoppoint, you agree to the processing of your data as described in that policy. We take data protection seriously and are fully compliant with NDPR, GDPR, and other applicable laws.
8. Reward Rules and Modifications
Rewards are provided at our discretion and are subject to verification and platform rules. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any reward, promotion, feature, or point-earning method at any time. While we do our best to honor active offers, we may adjust or revoke rewards in cases of error, misuse, or fraud.
9. Limitation of Liability
Shoppoint is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or always accurate. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shoppoint disclaims all warranties and will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Shoppoint Technologies Limited and its affiliates, directors, employees, and partners from any claims, damages, or legal fees arising from your misuse of the platform or violation of these Terms.
11. Changes to the Terms
Shoppoint Technologies Limited reserves the exclusive right to modify, update, or revise these Terms of Use, the Privacy Policy, the Rewards Policy, and any related platform rules at any time, in our sole discretion. All changes will take effect upon posting, and we will take reasonable steps to notify you of significant updates such as through the app, email, or website notices.
By continuing to use the platform after any changes are posted, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms. You acknowledge that it is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically. We reserve the full right to determine the scope, structure, and content of the platform at any time, including the addition, removal, or modification of features, promotions, or services.
12. Termination
We reserve the exclusive right to suspend, limit, or terminate your access to the platform in whole or in part at our sole discretion, without notice, if we determine that you have violated these Terms, misused the service, or acted in a way that harms Shoppoint, other users, our partners, or the integrity of the rewards system.
You may also delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the platform will immediately cease, and we may delete or deactivate your account and all related data, except as required to fulfill legal, regulatory, or operational obligations. Termination does not waive any of our legal rights or remedies, including the right to seek damages, injunctive relief, or other remedies under applicable law.
13. Governing Law
These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, are governed exclusively by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. However, all disputes arising under or relating to these Terms, the use of the Shoppoint platform, or any of our services shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation and mediation. You expressly waive your right to pursue any dispute in court and agree that arbitration shall be your sole and exclusive remedy for resolving any claims, unless otherwise required by law. This clause shall survive the termination or expiration of your use of the platform.
